Siding Award of Excellence
Good siding keeps water out and looks right from the curb. Our judges look at what goes on behind the panels as much as the finished wall.
What our judges look for
- Housewrap lapped and taped, with proper flashing at windows and doors
- Correct nailing and gapping so the siding can move
- Straight courses and well-placed seams
- Clean trim, corners, and transitions
- Careful caulking and paint finish where they apply
Photo tips
Show the old siding, any sheathing repairs, housewrap and window flashing before the siding covers it, and the finished walls from the same angles as your before photos.
Leave out logos, yard signs, house numbers, and homeowner faces so judges score the work, not the brand.
